Aurora screechers interstate chase set

Postby BRP32 » Fri Oct 03, 2014 10:55 pm

I had this set as a kid years ago.

It was battery powered and came in a 3' x 3' box or there abouts.

I had a lot of fun with this and it slid right under my bed.

Many hours of great fun!!!

Mine actually wasn't this spiderman set seen here but was the same track set up seen here but with a pinto police car and a flamed cuda.

Yep, lots of great memories from turning laps on this one!

Why can't a manufacturer produce something like this again to get kids hooked on slots?

Everything you need in a box that slides nicely under your bed.

No track pieces to put together or take a part and break.

AW could do this with a couple of t-jet cars......

I'd buy another......

I am pleasantly surprised by the number of kids I see racing at the Buffalo track,1:32. Some kids bring their own cars and others drool when they see that massive track.
I ALWAYS take a crash resistant car when I go to the track for practice. That way I can let a youngster borrow my car and get in on the enjoyment of slot car racing !
The kids...and their parents... seem grateful that I allow them to use a car of mine.

Wonder if Toys R US or Wal-Mart offer a track mentioned above ? I doubt it !!!!

That is awesome the kids are showing an interest in racing 1/32. I think the car costs scare off the parents.

I use to garage sale and find Ho tracks all the time with broken cars. It was cheaper for the parents just to buy another set then buy cars separately at more cost.

Our Hobbytown went under a number of years back so there is no exposure to hobbies for kids around here anymore. They use to have a big 1/32 track set up.

I wish a manufacturer would bring out a small ho slot set again like the screechers set to introduce kids to.

It has no set up and easily stores away. No complications what so ever.......

It doesn't get any easier than this!
