TEAM RULES:

1. Team Car - Only one car is allowed per team.

2. Teams - Each team consists of 3 or more drivers (4 to 5 is ideal).

3. Driver Changes - Teams may change their driver as often as desired during a segment. (Please be respectful of other teams by trying not to block their view). Each team member should get a significant amount of driving time. Teams who have members doing the majority of the driving are discouraged.

4. Team Marshal - Each team is required to provide at least 1 track marshal at all times. This marshal may not perform any work on the cars.

RACE RULES:

1. Pre-race tech. – Prior to the start of the racing, each car entry will go through a pre-race tech consisting of a visual inspection based on the car rules.

2. Race - Multiple segments with a brief intermission in between. Each team will change lanes after each segment, rotating thru all 4 lanes twice. The length of the individual segments will be 30 minutes.

3. Car Switching - Team cars on the track may be switched with the second team car in impound as often as desired during green flag racing. The second team car may not be switched during intermissions. (Note: While doing maintenance & repairs on either car, the team must stop racing until repairs are complete. Work may be done on both cars at the same time.)

4. Maintenance & Repairs - All work to the cars is to be done “on the clock” during the race. Major car repair should be taken to the team “garage” area. If glue is used for repairs, it must be completely dry before the car goes back onto the track. If repairing the second team car in impound, the team must stop racing until repairs are completed.

5. Impound – While not being used for racing, the second team car is to remain in impound. (unless being repaired)

6. Parts Replacement - All parts can be replaced except for the Body and Chassis. Bodies/Chassis’ may be switched around between the two team cars.

7. Intermissions - During the intermission periods (2 min. each) between segments, the only work allowed is changing the car lane and sticker. The team driver’s controller is also connected to the appropriate lane for the next segment. (No tire cleaning, shoe adjustments/cleaning, etc. – This must be done “on the clock”.)

8. Track Calls - Once the race starts, it will only be stopped for a track call due to marshal damage or for cars which land on the floor.

9. Missed Laps – Due to the nature of this event, it would be difficult to accurately account for any missed (uncounted) laps. Therefore, laps missed for any reason will not be included into the lap totals.

10. Post-race tech. – At the completion of the race, all cars will be impounded for a post-race tech consisting of a teardown inspection for adherence to the rules. One car at a time will be tech’d according to the finishing order 1st thru 4th. A representative of each team will be asked to dismantle their car for inspection by the officials.

11. Finish Order - Each team’s accumulated lap total (and successful post-race tech inspection) determines the race finish order.

ADDITIONAL RULES:

In addition to these rules, all SCCOTTT General Rules apply for this event. In the case of a rule conflict, the rules in this document superseded the rules in the SCCOTTT General Rules. Copies of all rules are available.
