I spent two days last week with my good friend Bob Beers at the Barrett-Jackson event held in the Mohegan Sun casino. This was the fourth time for the event, and we have attended all of them. We spent a lot of time gawking at the many different FORD GT cars there, both the newest version and also the mid 2000s edition. They had one of the new models, with the same paint job as Bob's will have, blasting around with a select few lucky people getting rides around a short parking lot course with a pro driver. The Motor Trend TV broadcast aired a clip with automotive personality Christy Lee getting a multiple lap trip around as we all jealously watched.
As for Bob's beautiful special edition AFX Mega G+ FORD GT, he's expecting them very soon. It's a replica of the one Ford had at last year's Barrett-Jackson Northeast event. The one they were running around may have been that actual car, now that I think about it. Contact him directly on his web page to see when they will be available for purchase. He's not taking any orders until he actually has the cars in his possession, to avoid any problems. Anything else please direct your inquiries to Bob, I'm his friend, not his legal rep!

I've been asked about this a few times, so I'll post it here.
You can email Bob Beers to be put on the contact list for the Limited Edition AFX Mega G+ FORD GT in Metallic Blue with stripes. They should arriving within the week.
These are available directly from Bob only, no other vendors will have them. There will only be 3000 made, just like AFX did with the Jim Russell Daytona Cobras.
