HO Trans-Am Proxy at Palmer Beach Raceway!

The field made the trip safe and sound and were ready to tackle APalmer's "Palmer Beach" Road Course!

Nice track and cars!

Qualify was performed with myself running "RED" lane and APalmer running "BLUE" lane running one minute per lane.
The field ready for tire cleaning and qualifying!






























Qualifying flew by with the 1 minute per lane format - and we had some very tight groups of cars!

But until then I have to give a "KUDOS!" to the builders - these cars made for some GREAT racing and many of the positions were separated by just segments after 4 lanes / 8 minutes of racing! :o

Don't know if other participants would be interested but, I was wondering if you drivers could share driving impression of our cars? Possibly even some tips as to what might make them better.

The car I sent in is infinitely faster and smoother than it was in stock form but I have nothing else to compare it to. Don't think I ever raced Tjets competatively, except on the dragstrip.

If others are not interested, perhaps a quick PM would suffice.

Just enough curves and long straights - that track was well thought out!
Nice touch to paint the lane colors too!
What are the dimensions of it?

All the cars were well set up and fun to drive when they were in Peterborough, I can see how the qualifying was so close.

Thanks for the comments on the track layout. It's a simple 4 x 8 layout.

As far as the cars go. I wish I could remember specifics of each car, but they were all fun to drive. For my particular track some of the slower cars drove real nice while the faster cars, the driver really had to be on their toes and braking points.

Qulaifying the semi's.... total carnage!!!!
If any of you have never raced the rigs, look up Tusco Todd's rules for the rigs.... they are a riot to drive.... loads of people shy away until they see the trailer swing wide to block or even take out the other guy 3 lanes away. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Racing was structured with two mini races feeding one final lap total. For race one, I ran the "RED" lane while APalmer ran the "BLUE" lane, while Mrs. Palmer helped out with marshaling duties. For race two, I ran the "WHITE" lane and APalmer ran the "YELLOW" - bring the total run up to a full four lanes and 8 minutes for each car.

What a field of cars! Many of the positions were separated by mere segments at the drop of the checkered flag - with the closest battle being for third where it came down to half a car length! :o
