Whelen Modified

Postby RichD » Thu Jan 24, 2013 9:23 pm

At one time HOCOC had an SK Modified class for modern NASCAR modifieds that used either a Tyco 440X-2 or a Lifelike M chassis. We have not run that class for a number of years party because both chassis are out of production. A new class based on an Aurora Magnatraction or Johnny lightning/Auto World X-Traction chassis has been proposed. The rules would be similar to the HOCOC Fairgrounds class. I cut the ears off of an X-Traction chassis. The car has a Tomy front end, a Tomy rear axle, Tomy guide pin and JW's 0.300 double flanged wheels with Supertires. I drilled a hole through the bottom of the chassis just in front of the front magnet so I could use a single screw to hold the body on. There is a stop attached to the rear of the body so that the body cannot rub on the tires. The body is by Resin Dude.
