I am in the process of making this body for an old Aurora 4 gear chassis.Utilizing the plastic parts from a Hot Wheels '40 and '32 Fords. Image

That is cool looking! Never thought of building one in that style. I made this one by using the Hot Wheels woody and a Tyco 40 Ford coupe.Image

Those are cool! I'd built something similar as a teen...a long time ago. Brings back good memories of my HO days.

Nice work! Glad to see someone actually followed through with that idea! Very cool indeed, I like how you incorporated the side pipes from the Tyco '40 Ford into that one. I've got about half a dozen of those woodie bodies stashed in my "to build someday" box. Unfortunately for me, they'll probably stay on the back burner for a long while, too (maybe I could talk myself into making one a drag woody).
Thanks for the photos and showing me what I'm missing out on. Too many "irons in the fire" I guess!

Happy Holidays... Ernie

The hardest part was figuring out how to mount the body.I used the A/Fx Ford Van as a guide and used sheet plastic to make the rear mount. For the front I used thick model sprue to make the tube that accepts the screw.I glued the tube to the inside of the hollow blower scoop.
