2019 CanAm Proxy - Round 2 - No.Conn - Rockledge Raceway

Thanks to Double B (from one goatee man to another, that's some impressive facial hair!) the track owner and team for an excellent event.

A special shout out to the Group 5 proxy family members for your strong performance, it is great to see proxy stalwarts like Brumos and SteveeW on the podium together with whatshisface.... :D

A better performance in round two for car #7 but still a long way behind the pointy end of the field.

Congratulations to everyone that is pleased with their result, better luck to the others next time

Interesting results, congrats to the podiumites...I’ve driven several of those guys cars in proxies past. Way to go!

Especially curious seeing one of the top runners from round 1 sooooo far down in this round. Same goes for seeing F1Fan mid pack. Although the western Canadian tracks always seem suited to F1Fan’s cars.

I’ll be following this series closely as it comes our way to Cowtown in a few months time....can’t wait to race these cars!

Consistent performance from redlynr; good performance on different tracks is a big part of what makes a successful proxy car.

We'll see what Round #3 brings, as the cars head further south in CT...…….

Also a big thanks to your crew. Congratulations to our podium trio. Glad to have made it at 14th with one day to prep and get the car in the mail. It was ahead of some of the top car builders and that's good for me.

Well done, Bob Boulais and crew. Having the video was valuable, as I could watch my car struggle through its four heats, sometimes flowing rapidly through a succession of laps but often interrupting heats with too frequent “offs.” After the qualifying session at River Run, the first round, Bob Bianchi characterized the Chaparral 2J as a quick car that was difficult to consistently drive quickly.

Two round in the books now. Twice qualified in the top 10 and twice finished 13th. I hoped for better but it could have been worse.

A note to Dave West.... take heart, there may be nothing wrong with your car. At last year’s Can Am Proxy, one round was run on a track with magnabraid and the results were almost bizarre when compared to results run on other tracks.

Hey guys, I went ahead and just did a quick spreadsheet since I was curious where I was sitting. IT IS IN NO WAY OFFICIAL FROM ALLAN.

To make it simple I just added finishing positions, lowest score is the highest position. It was much easier for me to determine positions this way. Have a look if you like. Obviously 2 races in isn't much, and there was a huge shakeup this race which I am assuming the magnabraid contributed to.

Big thanks to Jeremy for hosting round 2 on his smooth Rockledge Raceway and Bob Boulais for his great organizing skills in making this happen. Pushing these race cars to their limits on this track must have been a fun time for everybody. I particularly enjoy seeing the photo show that Doubl-B posted. :music-rockout:
