I've had an opportunity to build a few Area 71 cars. They perform right up there with the Scaleauto and NSR. Just be aware the supports for the wings depending on the car can be pretty small. I doubt they will last an entire proxy. That may be an advantage for those of us looking to get the weight down. :idea:

I have a TA71 model on order. It has been a month and still do not have it. 3 communications with someone at TA71 and they do answer (Facebook)
Is it normal to wait a month or longer to get one of these kits?

I'm back into the fray with a Scale Auto BMW Z4 for the qualifying group.



Getting comfortable with building a hybrid chassis but the black art of preparing rubber tires will be a new adventure.

Aahh Scott, I think you need to read Chris's post a bit more carefully. He wasn't referring to Model T TYRES, he was referring to the MODEL T ITSELF, which, as Henry Ford said (apocryphally?), could be had in any colour... as long as it is black! And that of course referred to the early models as Ford did apparently bring out more colours several years later.

Jut curious. Are the Reds any faster than other NSR tires. Or it is just a " Spec Tire " and the color is to identify them?

Hmmmm.... how come I can't find the NSR " Special " tires at my regular sources. IE: 5261, 6262 and 5263 ? And what is SPECIAL about them. Other than the fact that I don't have any... Has the proverbial Cat gotten out of the Bag? :think:
