I'm wondering why the tire tread pattern is different on the spare?

Maybe it's plastic and not rubber, we'll see when they get here.

Yea I know I'm being picky Jeremy. I looked at my NSR 917's and the spare is rubber so I was just curious.

Joe's question prompted me to search around for an answer. I thought that they would want to use as light a spare as possible since it would never be used. I found these pics which I believe answers the question.


This next pic isn't a real car but it is a highly detailed model.


All three depict the type of tire as represented by Carrera. It appears the Fly car may be the one that is wrong. That is unless there were some cars with full size spares which I didn't find.

These cars might be a real game changer for some of us, myself included.

I enjoy 1/24 racing with H&R model kit conversions, but these models have me thinking even more about this scale.

From time to time I have raced some cool Carrera releases but never got involved that heavily. These might change that. Affordable and they look very well done for my eyes.
