Hi, has any one fitted a carerra digital chip to a cox, monogram or revell chassis for use on carerra digital track.

The 732 chip fit exactly between the frame rails. Just hot glued in. Works great.

Thanks for sharing, what power pack are you using and what controller? I ask as the motor in the chassis looks very similar to that used in the cox mag frame cars

Stock Carrera digital controller. I have about 7-8 of these vintage cars but I don't remember what these motors are rated at (Original owner since the 60's) I have an adjustable power supply on the track with it running 17V. I run it that high to make up for any lazy L/C's that I might have. I adj the speed at the CU. I haven't run it a lot but it runs good. Turns out the stock Carrera 1/24 wheels will fit on the axles. I just screwed em on using just a little force. Need to find some SUPER low profile front tires to fit these rims.

How do you keep it from shorting out on the chassis?

These older chassis sit about 1/4" off the track so there is no danger of shorting. I was worried about the same thing until I saw it.
