Thanks for the compliments I'll put some more pictures up soon I pretty much have everything I need to finish it only thing I still have to come up with is the white "JAVELIN" for the quarter panels.

Hi Fitzy,

I'm at a different local than where I've got my stable located in my garage, so, this is a typical chassis I build for most of my cars raced in our 12 classes. For the 13th, open wheel class, quite different.

n9949y Oh that is sweet!! I need a course is Brass Chassis Building what thickness is that and what do you use to cut it out?

A machinist in Roseburg, OR cuts the pieces from .090 stock. I use a Weller D650 industrial level soldering gun and a Dremel butane micro-torch.

Here's another custom fitted chassis made by the late Doug Haynes several club members use:

Here's the set up of a 1939 Mercedes W-163 as raced in our Monza or pre-1960's F1, Grand Prix (pre WW II) & Indy cars.

I know lower is better but the slammed look just doesn't look right on early cars. :twocents-mytwocents:

Now THIS looks right. Anyone can put a body on a commercial chassis with steam roller foams. THIS however is great modeling.
