Tamiya Mclaren Elva finished

Postby btaylor » Mon Aug 06, 2018 11:28 am

Put the last little touches on this one yesterday. Trying to build up my Can Am fleet a bit. This is an original Tamiya body that I removed the motor hump from the cockpit, and replaced it with a new tray, and a half bust resin driver that I cast. Chassis is scratch built, using my usual components, with the exception of the motor. I used a Colgate for this one! It came up 22,300 on the RPM meter, so I said what the heck! It actually runs quite well, and right in league with my others. I patterned this one after a 1:1 car, with a few changes to suit me.
