1959 Monogram Deuce Roadster

Postby btaylor » Thu Apr 13, 2017 6:13 am

About to braid this one up and give her a test run. Built from an original kit, it sits on a home built brass chassis with hawk motor, cut down H&R wheels, Parma guide, 9/31 gears. I tried to stay as close to the original kit as possible. The interior remains intact by lowering the motor mount, using the kit full driver figure. I did substitute the oversized flathead for a correct scale version. the Original will be used in a Midget project I am building. I love these old kits, if for nothing more than the funky box art. But mostly because I built all of them as a youngster, and it brings back memory's of a simpler time. Hope you all enjoy the trip down memory lane with me!

Looking really good Bob. They were the good old days back then. I loved them. I started building them when I was 7 years old. I asked my brother for some parts from his model kits. I made chassis's from the model parts sprues. From what the parts came on. Show some more pictures of it Bob. Thanks . Bob........................................

Late to this party. Way too busy.

What a great modeling effort here. You really made a fine one. Again.
