It was a safe return of both cars albeit costly:i had to pay 41 euros custom duties and clearence fee

Yes,whatever is valued over US$ 30 pays 24% VAT on value + postage plus a fixed amount of 15 euros clearing fee

I'm sorry - I either didn't know that or I forgot it. I valued the cars at $50.00.

To avoid duties and taxes when shipping international for a proxy. Always value the car low or no commercial value. $10 used toy not for resale. Some people suggest using the term gift. You could put returning to owner. When sending a car for proxy; Toy car used to be returned to sender.
