T/A Proxy cars shipping home

Postby dreinecke » Fri Apr 20, 2018 5:54 pm

Folks,

I apologize for the delay - had a crazy week.

The cars are boxed and will begin shipping home today. I've got quite a few over-seas boxes that will go out either Saturday or Monday as I've got a ton of Customs paperwork to fill out and wait in line to do.

Once I have them all shipped, I'll calculate what is left, who wanted entry fees back, and how much HRW will get via donations.

I'm not gonna lie - I think I shed a few tears today over the cars. Again, my deepest condolences for the cars and the series this year.

David,
Don't sweat it. You have been a fine host and coordinator of this series. Till 2019. Maybe that means I'll have an even better car

David,

The Barracuda will be rebuilt and be back for 2019... will be benching the “clown car”, but we’re already building something that may be just as bad an idea...

Thanks David. It is a lot or work for you,and I appreciate all the effort you put in. The proxy world was due for an incident. Now we have had it, should be clear sailing for a couple more years.

Looking forward to getting the damaged car back. Judging by the pictures it can be fixed easily.

Dave, the cas arrived home today. The3 looks repairable and the 33 appears just fine. Thank you for running the proxy and we will be back next year, but with small cars as American Muscle R&D is still needed more so than the others I've done.

Cars arrived. The #89 had a little damage on the right A pillar. Luckily it didn't break. I think a little heat applied to it will correct the issue.

Car has arrived back in Oz, very minor damage compared to some, rear spoiler detached and some minor bending of the A pillars, which should be any easy fix.
Thanks Dave for all the care you have taken to get all the cars home and getting the proxy started

will be back for the 2019 event for sure
