Showdown Buick Sportsman

Just a teaser. :D
Got a good start on my 2nd Showdown Sportsman entry.
Looks a lot like a '56 Buick.

Formidable. Wouldn't want to get sideways in front of that.

Just finished up the '56 Buick sportsman "Showdown" entry.
I went a different direction on this one.
The 1st night of racing in the spring is always a "crap shoot", so to speak.
You spent the entire off season either re-building or building a new car.
Sometimes you spend the last couple of weeks before opening night doing the last minute carb tunes or
scale setups & just don't have time to get it into the paint booth, or out in the driveway, as the case may be,
for the final paint & lettering job.
So out comes the masking tape or white shoe polish to get the number on it for scorer.
This is my representation of such a case.

It's a Motor City Resin casting.
Piranha motor, Parma gears & guide, Paul Guage tires, Pro-Track wheels & simple brass rod, angle & sheet chassis.

You can build a late model for me if you get bored. I was intent on sending a modified and a sportsman but at this point I'll be happy if I get the modified done.

I know, just been really busy at work the last 4 months. I totally forgot to say that the Buick is a real beauty!
