All the cars ran well, had good grip etc… The top 5 handled extremely well.

The others all ran pretty equally.

#12 & #22 both had wheel hop and chattered in the corners.

Thanks Bob for the nice qualifying coverage! And I guess my car just liked being back in New England for some 'home cooking'! All those cars look great on your track. Looking forward to seeing how things shake out on race day.

Looks like local cars really enjoyed being “Back in the USA!” With Brian, ChrisVW, and DoubleB sitting in the top 5 with Dan from the Canadian plains keeping an eye on us.

Congrats to Brain for is car fulfilling its design potential, even if he beat me by 3/1000s of a second! :dance: :banana-dance: If this had been on the old TrackMate, would that have been a tie??? Enquiring minds would like to know!

Thanks Dan and the Vancouver club mates for such a great start to the series. It’s a tough act to follow. :music-rockout:

Start line is in upper right (cars are lined up). Lap counting spot is in lower foreground) line across track. Note the slight squeeze just behind the TV stand.




This view from the other end of the track shows a more significant squeeze into the reverse curves.

The last turn before the long straight is banked.

Yes sadly car #22 had wheel hop before it left the UK due to a badly cast tyre. As it was sanded it developed a flat area, possible due to the tyre not having cured properly inside. As we weren't given any spare tyres in the kit I had to go with what I got, so I knew it would be a problem. Shame really, spent ages building it. Couple of spares would have been very helpful and I didn't want to replace with my own urethanes as I felt that wasn't in the spirit of the race.

I'll replace the tyres when I get it back and race it on my own circuit.

At least it's not last - yet!

Gentlemen, start your engines! :auto-driving: Race is scheduled for this Saturday, April 28th. Seems there was a drivers/crew strike of some sort last weekend, but the drivers and crews are ready (and anxious) to race this weekend.

With JT in attendance, there should be up to the minute race coverage, he always does a great job! Until then...
