On the hill climb, RS Slot Racing's shallow and long guide was detrimental. Brainslot's guide was just a bit deeper but wasn't helping either.

By round 5, both your placing's have improved to mid-pack.

Thanks Dan for running the #22 and #67 on those two tracks. Neither car looks like they will be contending for a Podium position....so nothing really lost for us not being there on time. My rubber mounted pod needs some rework. I never felt I got the affect I was looking for. I really want to make it so that the chassis and pod are 'co-molded' with a flexible material. After the series I can see what I can change and will have JT's #60 as a benchmark. Maybe I just need to add a cool fin!

Snipsic's been run so update has been entered in post 1.

JT's emerged as the lone front runner. Second to fifth has tightened up.

Brainslot's car did well, so again shame that it was "Canadian customs impounded" for the first five races.

Will be interesting for the remaining three races.

Tolland Super Speedway's been run so scoring has been updated.

First to fifth has tightened up with a nine point spread.

A few changes in the remainder.

Looks like it'll be a tight finish to the end. Two more races to go.

Jeremy's track run is done so scoreboard updated.

Some significant changes in the Top 5. Chrisguyw is first now with Doubl B just a point away. The Top 5 are now separated by only 7 points.

Glasshorsevh and HMG have noticeably improved the last two races.

Yep, this is coming down to the last race of the series.

Vernon L, the final track run, has been completed and the scores have been tallied.

This last race was leading to several possible outcomes in the hotly contested Top 5 and it surely did.

The overall Top 5 are:

1st (tie) - #5 Doubl B :flags-usa: 35 points
1st (tie) - #60 JTPrevia :flags-usa: 35 points
3rd - #198 Chrisguyw :flags-canada: 38 points
4th - #79 TF1250 :flags-canada: 43 points
5th - #16 Duke777 :flags-canada: 49 points

The podium finishers were separated by only three points after ten rounds of running.

Home track running certainly made a difference as the performances bear that out.

Hi all. Really enjoyed this proxy. Great photos and write-ups all add to the experience. Keen to compete again if repeated.

Congrats to the podiumites, organisers, track owners, drivers, all the other helpers and of course the rest of us also rans.

If somebody has time would be good to get a report on each of the cars to help with future builds.

Presume with any future event we could use some of parts from this one. This would help keep costs down. Handout tyres and motors would probably need to be replaced.

What a great group of hand crafted cars. Some were faster than others, but all made special efforts to scratchbuild their chassis, body mount. etc. like Charles said, we’d love to learn more about these unique entries. I know I have questions about gearing, for instance. The period car liveries also made this an enjoyable series to watch or photograph.

Thanks to all entrants for taking a chance on this proxy with the first DanJim kit, :banana-dance: Most of the racing was pretty close and we think it simplified finding the right parts. Let us know your thoughts and ideas, I know VTEC has a few ideas for another series up his sleeve.

In the meantime, we will be divyng up our generous prize kitty - another reason to like these DanJim proxies! :music-rockout: :text-bravo:

See you note about Danjim. Did not realise he made the bodies. What other ones does he make and how do you get in touch with him. Does he have a web site perhaps.

DanJim is a boutique manufacturer of Slot Car components. They make limited run kits as their whims and desires lead them. They don’t keep a list of standard products at this time.

In reality, DanJim is VTECFOUR (Dan) and JT Previa (Jim). VTECFOUR does the moulding (Canadian spelling, eh... :dance: ) and I do the graphics and cheerlead :banana-dance: :text-bravo: If you are discrete and contact Vtecfour he may reveal some other limited resin moulds he has done for his own use that you might convince him to exchange for an All Blacks Jersey, some merino wool, and the America’s Cup.
