RAA Pointscores?

Postby bov » Mon Jan 22, 2018 8:20 pm

Hi Austin,

Without wanting to tread on any toes - I thought it might be an idea to put together a spreadsheet to compile the scores so far...

So, completely unofficially, I humbly present this (hey, it's what I do...)

Cheers, Tony.

Huh?........am I shipping to OZ?

Frankly, between Tony and Rossko (GAS41T) you could probably get another 4 Rounds in down under; not to mention a few more in NZ.............

Hi All,

Appreciate your thoughts, but I'm not in a position to host a round of the RAA in the foreseeable future....

Sorry....

I guess it's just going to have to remain as the Race Around America - need to find a few more enthusiasts within North America willing to host a round....

Otherwise... :?:
Cheers, Tony.

They're all packed, boxed up and ready to go. Am I shipping them to you, Austin? If so, then I need your address; thanks.

Hi Tony,

I posted the cars to Austin in Merrimac, NH yesterday. They should be with him either today or tomorrow. Not sure where the next Round is taking place.

I am sick in bed, I have the cars. If any of you can find more tracks please let me know and I will send them. If not this year comes to a end.

Last year many tracks ask for Urethane tires but when it came time to host they couldn't do it.

Will be going back to silicone and no P class

Austin, first off - feel better soon!

Second, how about the Shoreliners in CT. They have several tracks. Mike "smokeio" would be able to tell you if there are any available to run the RAA cars. Also, the Vancouver racers have several very nice tracks that could be available; same thing with western US (Washington State and California). There are others in the US, too.

Or, ship them to Tony (bov) in Australia, between when he has and what Ross Edwards (GAS41T) has, plus people like Dave West (DRW21) and John Warren (munter) in New Zealand, you could easily have a half dozen races down under, which might be fun, although you might have to change the name of the proxy from the Race Across America to the Race Around the World............. Could be fun though..............!

It's a shame to have a proxy with only 4 rounds; so much work put into the organization of the series and the prep of the cars.
