I will allow it if the rpms are under 18,000, this way SCX cars can be entered

SCX market them as 18,000 rpm @ 12v. The Slot Car News motor list says - tested 17,927-18,900 RPM/12v
Here are the tested results for the other motors in the GT2 class.
Carrera E-200, E-500 (FC-130) 21,081 RPM/12v, tested 18,058 - 20,6340 RPM/12v
Fly standard “black stripe, white endbell†(FC-130) 18,000 RPM/12v, tested 20,408 - 21,159 RPM/12v
H&R Racing Hawk Motor I (FC-130) 18,000 RPM/12v; tested 18,900 - 19,000 RPM/12v
Scalextric standard “black stripeâ€, Sport (FC-130) 18,000 RPM/12v; tested 20,577 - 22,300 RPM/12v
SCC Gator - not listed.
Looks like the SCX motor is the slowest of the lot.

For perspective my SCX42B powered Cuda is sitting in 18th out of 32; Scaley, Pioneer, H&R, Ninco, Baby King, an FF18K motored cars in the TransAm Proxy. I did it just to see how it would compete. If your goal is to be in the top 10 I would chose another motor. Take a look at motor selections from this tread. I did this just to see how the stock Cuda would compete. My other two entries have H&R and Pioneer motors they are currently in 19th and 22nd due to mechanical issues for both in one of the 6 rounds. The highest finish was 6th for the H&R powered Challenger. The highest finish for the Cuda has been 16th.
http://homeracingworld.us/viewtopic.php ... 4&start=30Of the approved motors the H&R Hawk has the highest torque rating at 140 g and also the highest output at 6.6 watts. I see the Pioneer motors are not approved for either class.

One of my best handling cars is a SCX Ferrari 550. It's geared 10/27 and stays with the Scaly cars down the straights.
The nearest track to me is 90 ks away so setting up my cars can take a lot of time. I'm building a test track this week so next week I should know which car to enter.

Shouldn't Rule G.O say "All rear tires must be Urethane only - we don't really care what the front tires are made of, do we?
Are we getting any closer to a 'cars due by date' ?
I have cars ready and waiting for many, many weeks and if this thing doesn't get off the ground soon...... :text-thankyouyellow:
Cheers, Tony.

Just looking over the rules again, was the Scale auto SC21 on the list as that what I installed a while back. Can the SC21 be added to the list?
