"I thought I should share Dylan's accomplishments this year knowing how much you are into racing no matter how many wheels it's on..... I rarely get onto the 1:43 board to give you guys an update...come to think of it - I think I saw an email that the board moved off yuku....and i don't think I've signed up on the new one yet.
Anyways - feel free to share with the boys if it's still the same crew that would actually know me.


He cleaned up the 85A class, 24 races total - 15 wins, 8 2nds and one 5th

The 5th came after knocking himself unconscious for a few minutes the day prior at practice, he got cross rutted on the face of a jump which then put him too sideways during flight and he was unable to correct it so it was a bad outcome on landing, he spent the remainder of the day/night under close watch, medical crews cleared him to race early the next morning. He went 5, 2, 2, 1 that day in his 2 classes, the 5th happened because he spent half a lap with his head burried under his bike....yeah, he was in the lead when he crashed in almost the same spot and had to fight back from dead last.

He cleaned up the GP Mini Class (our version of Supermini) - also 24 races - 16 wins, 7 2nds and a 3rd

The third was a day of mechanical issues at Canada's toughest track (sand) called Gopher Dunes, a pressure plate in his clutch was blown into 3 for half the day.

He also ran a mixed offroad series which consisted of 6 mx races, a 1 hour mx race, a 1 hour hare scramble and a 6 hour hare scramble done with a partner, he was the only guy across all classes to go undefeated and will also get the club ironman award for that accomplishment. Not too shabby for a not so l little kid that turned 13 mid season and ran with plenty of 16 yr olds all year.

The year had lots of mechanical issues - in the first quarter of the season his bike (which I had reworked by one of the best engine builders in the USA to be at the max output for running pump gas) was eating pistons every 4 hours, I decided to put it back to stock to save myself the money and headaches we were incurring since he was not even getting through some race days before I'm changing out headgaskets etc.... Ran the rest of the season with just one piston change at about 20 hours which is more the norm lol. Unfortunately, he did not ease up on tearing tires apart - every second race day he was running fresh rubber.

He started riding my 250F this season too, just to get the feel for it, Can't touch ground yet but second lap out he's hitting 100 foot table tops with it - geesh, no wonder I'm going grey!
He may be racing the 250 next season here and there but in all likely-hood he will still have to spend another year on the 85 due to being about 4" too short right now."

Great to hear from Matt, i was wondering how he´s doing. Dylan seems to be faster than his dad ;p
