Randy asked if i can do the hybrid chassis for the Go!motor as well after doing it for the DSlot motor (or FF050 sized motors). Hybrid chassis? printed parts with a home made brass plate or styrene sheep plate.
designed for ball bearings (OD 4.76mm) and 2.38mm axles. bearing dummies (from shapeways) can be used instead of ball bearings, the printed material works great for this, i tried.
pattern file for drilling the holes can be sent by eMail or PM
screws for the chassis parts, i got from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/M1-M1-2 ... 23528.html
yes, M1.4 by 8mm screws - they work great for 1/43rd chassis.

Great addition to your chassis selection Peter!

Tires are from Retro64, France.
Urethane tires for all scales, in 1/43 to Artin, Jouef and Kyosho.
Some Jouef cars like Renault A442 has got flat rims so tires for those cars can be used with 3D printed or aluminium wheels.

Got another lot of 13 cars yesterday, most Artin but two Polistil cars with kinda like HO chassis and this Jouef Porsche.

After changing the tires it runs really smooth.
Someone has painted it so I'm not gonna restore it, instead I'm gonna repaint it, add some decals and make clear windows, add lights and interior tray.

Cheers

Aki

Thank you Peter. Hope you were able to make sense out of my wheel dimensions.

Haven't done much nothing with slot cars for awhile but today I started to clean my workbench.
First thing I found was bunch of old tires that came from Jouef and Artin cars still laying around.
So I started to finally make that tire wall to get rid of them.
First I glued stack of tires and then glued the stacks to each other.
Finished the job with layer of black spray paint.

After that I fixed second controlled of my track which I discovered not working properly yesterday when my godson was visiting.
Then I went through a bunch of Artin cars that came while back, cleaned, changed pickups and sanded tires and stuff like that.
And while I got things going I continued work with that yellow Jouef Porsche.
It was painted a month ago and now I added decals to it and painted the wheels.

Thanks Lloyd and Rusty.

Small progress with the car.
I made a dashboard and rear window from styrene sheet and painted them black.
Then I clear coated the car, some cloudiness appeared but I wasn't sure was it that or some reaction with original
yellow paint so I stopped clear coating just in case and some parts didn't get wet coat layer so I'm gonna respray it later.
Cloudiness disappeared thankfully but I'm gonna wait few more days for the first layers to dry completely.
The car is touch dry now so in the mean time I made an very simple driver tray, nothing fancy but works.

a guy from Germany asked if it would be possible to do the hybrid chassis also for a boxer motor.

Well, it is possible, here are some pictures and the link to shapeways. The pdf file for correct drilling of the holes in the base plate will be sent by eMail or PM after request.
I´m using metric M1.4 screws from aliexpress to fix the parts to the brass (or polystyrene) base plate. i´m glueing a paper print of the drilling scheme to the base plate, drill the holes, make the cutouts for the motor and the gears.

had to do a little repair work on my parma controller. after a drop the cable broke where it comes out of the controller.
so, cutting out 2" and soldering back together.
as the controller was open, i put a little epoxy on the windings after putting them in correct position. runs very smooth now.
