Revell Spin Drive ?

Does anyone have any of these sets?
If so, I have some questions:
1. Can a 3 year old spin the handle fast enough to drive the cars?
2. Will the cars stay in the slot, regardless of speed? Specifically, do you think a 3 year old could generate enough speed to de-slot?
3. Will regular 1/43 cars run on this track? That is, will the crank generate enough power for them?

I personally haven't used a Spin Drive race set but did some research on the product a few days ago. From what I read, the cars will come off the track so it is important to slow down on the curves. You will find plenty of reviews about the Revell Spin Drive sets on Amazon. It seems slot car sets don't fair all that well when it comes to customer reviews at the large internet retailers so the product may not be as bad as the reviews indicate. Also, Tuesday Morning has the sets on sale right now for around 75% off.
