Thanks all, all I have to do now is finish it in time"
Chuck, this is my first attempt with brass for 45 years, so I have no idea if it will work! Last year I used one of Steve's Aluminum sidewinder chassis that I had already wrecked by bending it too much, so I glued it back together and it won! It is still in the first 2 in a French proxy that has had about 70 races so far, with more to come! That chassis is amazing! But a lot of my cars are narrower than the Beta, so I set about using a similar design, but in thin brass to reduce the width. Will it work? We will have to wait and see!
Bill, Jaak Beenjees, a fantastic 1/24 and 1/32 thingy builder and 1/43 newcomer, is entering 2 Dslots, one nearly stock, and 1 with a brass chassis, it will be interesting to see how they go. The 917 that Peter mentioned is Ted's Womp chassis'd one that won the ISP 43. If I even get a podium this time it would be a pleasant surprise!
Regards, Lloyd
