Cox Super Scale acquisition

I just picked up this Cox Super Scale chassis. It is reportedly 1/40 scale, thus modifiable to 1/43 by shortening a bit.

Designed by Philippe De Lespinay back in the early 70's while he was at Cox. You can see the heritage of this design in the current high dollar TSRF 1/32 and 1/24 RTR chassis.

Per discussions with Philippe these cars were tested exhaustively along with the much improved Cox Super Scale on demand "speed control" double XLCs.

I have picked up a few of these over the years. The ones with the brass flat pan are really good, and make good chassis for smaller 132 scale cars,

I am transferring the design to a 3d software program for printing in 3d. I will be using a similar square motor. By shortening the chassis and reversing the Cox front runs and using HO rims/tires on the rear I have been able to mount Heller Grp C bodies on it.
