both lane provide serious grip, lap times in training session yesterday already down to under 9 seconds.

a little fresh on the track - 18°C are not that much, but fine weather for racing! ;-)

wie immer von Claus - ein sehr leise laufendes Auto.
dafür mit einer großen Tendenz aufs Dach zu rollen. Kann den hohen Schwerpunkt nicht verleugnen, trotz Messingchassis. Sehr gute Bremsen, gute Beschleunigung. Keine negativen Einflüsse des Allrads spürbar.

as usual from Claus - a very smooth running car. but the tendency to roll is also very, very high. very good brakes, great acceleration. 4 WD works perfect in the brass chassis.







cdub - #34 Jag
16V 90 Ohm

leises Getriebe, schwache Bremsen, Reifen nicht geklebt, nicht geschliffen. läuft eigentlich nicht schlecht.
leider springt das Auto auch auf der Geraden aus dem Slot
smooth gears, nice paint job. tires not glued, not trued

siehe Jag #34. jedoch kürzer übersetzt, paßt wesentlich besser. springt aufgrund der Vibrationen der Vorderachse (ungeschliffene Reifen) gerne mal vergnügt aus dem Slot. Schade.
Ich habe ein Auto mit den gleichen Teilen aufgebaut, kommt locker unter 10 Sekunden.

see Jag#34. gearing a little shorter, fits better for the track conditions. Jumps out of the slot in a straight line because of vibration from not trued front tires.
I built the chassis kit Cameron sent me with exactly the same parts. Only difference - i glued and trued tires. Runs easily under 10 seconds.

Die Karosserie hält ca. 3 Runden am Chassis, dann fliegt die Karo ab.
Das Chassis ist ein 3-Rad, das linke Vorderrad hängt leider in der Luft. Die Standard Gummi Reifen bieten leider auch nicht den nötigen Grip.

the body stays on the chassis only for 3 laps, than the body comes off, only clamped to the body. stock rubber without grip.

Slotti - AGM Alfa

Standard Reifen mit mangeldem Grip. Rechts vorne hängt das Rad in der Luft und die Vorderachse läßt sich nicht dazu bewegen, sich beim Fahren zu drehen. Ansonsten gefällt mit der Alfa, Licht schaut gut aus, Getriebe läuft ruhig. PU Reifen drauf, kleben, schleifen und der Alfa fährt nochmal besser. Vielversprechend.

stock rubber tires with nearly no grip. the front right tire is up in the air, front axle will not turn. Car looks great with front running lights, smooth gears. add PU-tires, glue them, true them and you got a runner.









BARC - Porsche 907K

way to much play in the rear axle of the sidewinder - but in the side to side play. makes the car drift in every corner as soon as power is applied.
otherwise a really great looking car and nice to drive. i would need a higher ohm controller to be able to get more out of this car, but with 90ohms, even the 18V are a little too much, but with lower voltage it´s not fast enough on the straight and lap times go up.
Lost its wheel during training laps. As i do not know if is glued or screwed, i do not want to mess it up. sorry

Viel zu viel Spiel in der Hinterachse, Seitenspiel. Dadurch driftet der 907 in jeder Kurve viel zu früh.
ein richtig gut aussehendes, vielversprechend. Ich bräuchte einen 120 ohm Regler um dieses Auto besser kontrollieren zu können. Könnte noch etwas Spannung vertragen um auf der Geraden mehr Geschwindigkeit aufzubauen.
Verlor sein rechtes Hinterrad in den Trainingsrunden.

Ingo Fiat X1/9

der Fiat hat gleich mal in Runde 2 das Vorderrad auf der Bahn liegen lassen.
Schmale Spur, hoher Schwerpunkt, leider rollt der Fiat in schnell gefahrenen Kurven gerne mal aufs Dach.
Läuft sehr ruhig und eigentlich auch schnell, zumindest gefühlt. Nicht sehr fehlerverzeihend.der stark angeschrägte Leitkiel, ähnlich Dan´s tut dem Auto auch nicht gut.auch hier sitzt die Karosserie sehr stramm am Chassis.
Gelockerte Karosserieschrauben würden gefühlt mehr Kontrolle über das Auto wenn die Geschwindigkeit sich steigert.

The Fiat lost its front wheel in lap 2. narrow track, high CoG, the Fiat barrel rolls in fast corners. Runs very smooth and maybe fast. At least the feeling is fast. reacts on small inputs. The angled guide lets the car jump out of the slot early IMO. body mounting very tight.







dillerman2- Toyota #56

sehr schönes Auto. Beim Fahren will das Heck immer nach außen.
in runde 10 auf einmal schlagartig ein anderes Laufgeräusch und um eine Zehntelsekunde schneller. Interessant.
auch beim Qualifying das gleiche Phänomen. Auf die Geschwindigkeit hat das keinen Einfluß.
Läuft sehr ruhig auf der Bahn und ist eine Augenweide.

An awesome car to look at. The rear end always wants to slide out.
In lap 10 the sound from car changes at one point, becoming way more silent. and a little faster. Interesting.
nice to drive with good controll. great to look at.









Dusan - Exige

leider wird die schöne Exige in den engen Kurven vom Anschlag des Leitkiels vorzeitig ausgehebelt. Da hilft nur langsamer fahren. Leider.
Karo zu stramm am Chassis. Öffnen der Schrauben bringt keinen Effekt, da kein Spiel zwischen Chassis und Karosserie möglich ist.

the turning angle of the guide is very limited. this lets the car deslot in the tight, slow turns when the rear end starts to slide out.
body mounted to stiff on the chassis.










Ingo - Capri #1

irgendwas muß da passiert sein. die Karosserie sitzt eindeutig auf der Bahn auf und hebt die Vorderachse komplett von der Bahn.
da ich die schön lackierte Karosserie nicht schrotten will werde ich dieses Auto nicht fahren. Sorry.

something must have happened here. the front end of the body sits on the track and lifts the front axle off the track. if i ran the car, i wil break the front, i do not want this. Sorry.







Daniel - BrAudi (BreitbauAudi)

die Breite der Karosserie läßt den BrAudi immer wieder innigen Kontakt mit der Landschaft suchen. Nicht zu bestem der Rundenzeiten. Außterdem bringt die breite Spur irgendwie nicht genügend Druck auf die Reifen in den Kurven. Hängt sehr direkt am Gas. Jeder Befehl wird sofort umgesetzt. Recht anstrengend zu fahren. Läuft sehr ruhig.
Im Training kam dann noch was - ein Hinterreifen löste sich von der Felge. Superkleber+polierte Alufelge = keine gute Haftung. Außerdem wurde der BrAudi von der Rennleitung nachkontrolliert - auf Breite. Regel: 50,8 BrAudi - 51,2
ich weiß, ist jetzt hart, aber die kleinen Landschaftsteilchen auf der Strecke behindern dann noch die anderen Autos ...
Regeländerung für nächstes Jahr, nach dem ich alle meine Autos breitenmäßig verglichen habe: 49mm max.Breite

the extreme width of the body lets the car collide with the landscape in nearly every turn. no fast lap times in this way. wide track doesn´t create pressure on the wide tires. extremly direct driving feeling, every input creates immediate reaction. during training laps one rubber cames loose from the polished aluminium wheel.
race official took out the calipers, the BrAudi is too wide (51,2 instead of 50,8mm). Next year the width limit will be set to 49mm







Claus - Käfer

der Käfer leidet definitiv unter limitiertem Lenkeinschlag. Richtig gute Beschleunigung, sehr schwache Bremsen. Sobald das Heck in Wechselkurven anfängt auszubrechen, was normalerweise kein Problem wäre, fährt der Leitkiel in den Anschlag und hebelt den Käfer aus. Der rollt dann gemütlich, durch seine runde Form begünstigt, mit vollkommen ausreichender Überschußgeschwindigkeit, in die Landschaft, ziemlich ähnlich einer Bleikugel. Wenn ich Claus die abgetragene Landschaft mit ins Paket packen würde, müßte ich Übergepäck zahlen.
Schade, ansonsten ein spaßiges Auto. Und weit weg von langsam.
Nachdem alle Teilnehmer auf 2 Autos im Rennen beschränkt sind, fällt der Käfer leider aus der offiziellen Rennwertung.

The beetle is the next car to suffer from limited guide angle. real good acceleration, weak breaks. As soon as the tail slides out, the guide gets caught in the slot and the car will roll. and roll. and roll. and hit the landscape with out being slowed down, due to the round shape of the body. if i would pack the bits of landscape the beetle took off, i would have to pay overweight.
a very nice car to drive and far away from slow. being the slowest car of the 3 entered cars, it will not run in the race.







LLoyd - Benz

heavy with a high CoG, but nice to drive, maybe 24V would get it up to speed eventually. runs nice and smooth, great to look at.

hoch und schwer, aber gut zu fahren. Vielleicht könnten 24V den Benz auf Geschwindigkeit bringen. Bei 18V passiert noch nicht viel. Läuft ruhig und leise, schaut auch gut aus.
Schade.







Uwe - Mercure Cyclone

sehr lautes Getriebe. Irgendwas an der Hinterachse zwickt - und zwar so richtig. Ich vermute das die Karosserie in den Kurven an den Hinterrädern radiert. Außerdem zwickt das Getriebe beim Durchdrehen von Hand. In Summe sind keine zwei gleichmäßige Runden.
Schade, der schöne Cyclone hat definiert Potential für so richtig schnelle Runden.

very loud gears. something binds in the rear axle. i think that the body is maybe rubbing on the tire. the gear get stuck a little when turning by hand. maybe the pinion binds on the crown?
no 2 constant laps are possible, sorry.
The nice looking cyclone would have the potential to be real fast!
