carrera go tires

Postby frank9129 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 2:09 pm

My grand kids wanted to run the Mario Kart (white) and Ms. Peach cars. The tires got hard and just slide.
After several hours of searching no dice on finding replacements. I can't even find the model numbers.
Does anyone have a supplier of GO replacement tires?
Thanks,

only Carsten in Germany ... he is the address of choice for good tires right now (at least for me). www.slotcarparts.de)
checked his website, but he doesn´t list tires for Mario or Peach - maybe just contact him ...

Bruno in France, but i do not know if he makes tires for those.
Same for Ortmann tires - which can be get from GoKarli (www.gokarli.de)
plus i got some tires from Lloyd? but i can´t remember the source only that they were really small (maybe for one of my Minis...)

Jel Claws offers replacement tires for some Go! models. I’m not sure which are interchangeable.

Hi,

Spare part set 88220 is for Carrera GO Peach Royale (61123)
https://www.slotcar-union.com/en/spare- ... 82201.html

Spare part set 88179 is for Carrera GO Mario B Dasher (61037)
https://www.electricdreams.com/Shop/slo ... -8448.html

I think original spare parts are only option for new tires.

Cheers

Replacement OEM tires are likely to have turned hard on the shelf, it would be nice if there were aftermarket tires available. Another possibility is to sand the original tires and treat them with 3in1 oil or NSR tire treatment.

You could try coating the tires with urethane or silicone too.
Or if you are really up to it, make molds and pour some using a small pint kit pf urethane. The irethane wouldnt put your other tires out of use either.
We run rubber and urethane together without issue.

I'm going to try all of your suggestions.
As the tires are now hard as stone I can't get them off the wheel otherwise I would try to cast them.
Wish me luck. My next choice will be to try and locate cars with usable tires and make castings or get someone to do it for me.
Thanks for the help.

run them on sandpaper and coat with tigersmilk -let dry overnight an do process again and again till they get soft. do not leave them Soaking in Tigersmilk -just paint or rub in on the tire patch.
