I put the finishing touches on the Cobra. This was an inexpensive diecast that I made the mold from. I stole the window frame and side pipes from the diecast to complete this resin slot.

Next up is some Indycars from the Mansell era. My Plan is to do four, but who knows maybe I will do the 10 required to run a SIPS race with them. I found a source for some decals and I am currently waiting for my first Indycar mold to set up. I think I will lay up a chassis tonight

Nice looking car Dan.
Does the guide move freely?
Looks that there is not much room for rotating.
Trimming about 2 mm off from printed guide allows you to mount it lower, Peter's guides are too deep for Carrera slot.
I also like to paint them black so that they are not so visible.

Cheers

Thanks guys

@Aki

I wish this guides were modded in black.

I have found I need to trim them slightly for the Carrera track

I trimmed the body as much as I dare for the front guide. For the pictures the body was just placed on the chassis. I ordered a bulk order of miniature screws, and on still waiting on them to allow me to mount this body to the chassis. I think there is enough room to allow adequate movement .

@Aki and @Dan:
i can do the guides in black, no problem. but the paint is only on top of the material, it´s not full color. and the price is not worth it IMO.
they can be painted quite easily, even with an Edding pen or with brush and flat black Revell aqua color.

yes, i know that the guide are a little too deep for carrera track, but by now i thought that trimming is easy.
does a "special carrera edition" of the guide make sense to you?
i can even do a "carrera black" edition :) (for all types of the guides)

Peter

Guides are fine. As you are saying, trimming and painting is no problem. Would much sooner have them too deep then too shallow

If the black color adds cost it is not worth it

Thanks for you offer Peter but I'm happy with the ones you got to offer now.
Like said, easy to paint if needed and trimming is not a problem
