Prior to any competing cars arriving to Kleskun Hills the BARC team made the final selection of which cars will represent BARC racing in this fun run.

The 3 cars selected will be Lexus SC400, 69 Trans-Am Camaro and the Porsche Cayman. All the chassis are new as the team tries to improve in an effort to match the best teams. The TransAm car has utilized the Twincan set up to increase torque to help accelerating out of corners. All cars are using the Minebea S can, as the team feels this motor is well suited to the Kleskun Hills track, which is a tight road course with limited straight runs

In the early morning hours the cars are staged to hit the track

Many laps have been completed over the last 3 days as the team gets focused on the upcoming event.

Work has begun in earnest to get the track race ready, and also determine vantage points for the Cameras the will be covering qualifying and the race.

Qualifying this year has been changed, and the fastest laptime recorded over a 10 lap run will determine the pole sitter. Last year pole was determined by the fastest avg time over 20 laps, but the organizers felt this was in fact just a mini race, and that qualifying should reward the fastest car. This change will reward the fastest overall car, but the process is different enough from the race to allow some doubt as to which car will be best over race distance.

The yellow flag feature of the software will be used to manage deslots. If a deslot occurs the yellow flag call button will be activated stopping the clock until the car is reset on the track. The laptime of the desloted car will have the reaction times of the call and restart incorporated into its lap time. So deslots will affect the result, but using the software and yellow flag call button will give a more consistent reaction to deslots so each deslot is treated the same.
