Thanks both.
There is always next year Dan, it will be interesting to see how this event goes!
It really needs Coca Cola or Royal Mail decals Peter, but will get whatever I find in my decal bag!
Regards, Lloyd.

Nothing beats the look ( and performance as well ) of good old heavy metal !
Great chassis work, Lloyd.

Thanks all.
I expect the lightweight chassis will be quicker Roland, I just enjoy working with brass!

It should work very well, Lloyd.
A good weight distribution, enough space on the sidepans to add some weight, if needed anywhere.
Are the sidepans hinged / do they float ?
To me every chassis made from metal - no matter if brass, phosphorus bronze or spring steel / piano wire - is "heavy metal".

Nice work Lloyd. It doesn't get any better than a scratch built AW wire chassis (IMHO).   :text-bravo:

Thanks guys.
The side pans are hinged Roland, with very limited up movement I am still working out the best body fixing option.
For something of this size the body is quite light, so I may be able to use some form of pin fixing.
The chassis is fairly heavy, so probably will be at a speed disadvantage when compared with those with printed or plastic chassis.
Regards, Lloyd.

I now have the opportunity to run it on a long, fst, wood track this coming Wednesday. I have purposfully geared it low for shorter tracks, so it remains to be seen how well, or not well, it runs!
The front two pins, at least, will be through plastic card, not resin, but I take your point and will reinforce the pinholes.
As you know, I build for the fun of it. If it does well in time trials, so be it, if it doesnt, I will still have had the fun of making something different!
Regards, Lloyd.
