That is great Rusty. Except at my age, getting down there is easy...it's the getting back up :)

I spent the day tuning, taking photos and video. Nothing serious I promise.

Fun is what it is all about... :D
We have moved the fun to a table.Keeping it simple, but plan on doing a Route 66 / Radiator Springs theme layout..Home made stuff which is more fun then just buying stuff and putting it on the track. This will be a toy layout so to speak..The track will be setup so that the loop can be removed if wanted so that we can run our Jouef cars..See if you know what picture two represents.. ;)

Looks to me like the old Teepee motel on old Route 66 in northern (Holbrook?) Arizona. Might be fun to add other Arizona Route 66 landmarks like the Twin Arrows or Two Guns rest stops. Maybe the Meteor Crater and The World's Largest Jackrabbit and World's Largest Dream Catcher. Don't forget the "girl in the flatbed Ford slowin' down to take a look" at the guy standin' on the corner in Winslow, AZ, it's such a fine sight to see.
Sorry, I got carried away there for a minute.
Have fun!

Harry you win the prize.A free tow from Mater when needed... :)
Half Fast Slotter, you got the comparison down pat. They copied a lot of different Route 66 landmarks in the 1st cars movie. The teepee motel being one of them..Hoping to add some more land marks, either from the movie or the real thing..

The new Photo Bucket setup has stopped me from posting pics of Cruizin Bob's routed Radiator Springs he did a few years ago. It is an outstanding track and is 1/43.

I think I remember that track.Did a search for it and all of the photos seem to be lost by Photo Bucket..
.I've been using http://dropshots.com ..Free and easy to use..

Got the mountain end of the layout started.I cheated and cut up a mountain that we had on our last train layout.Nothing too fancy but kinda gives the idea of the look we are going for ..
