No love on the photo, trying again
From looks of it, there is a seem around the bottom plate where the plate is glued to the track and potentially three posts under the lid

i would say - remove screws - pry open with screw driver inserted between the parts?
do not see any other way ...
maybe dremeling away the material around the glued areas

oopps for some reason did not see the previous pics. I have just used some clips to jump the resistors externally so I can test it out. I really would like to know how the others have removed this without damage cause I see bending and damage. I wonder if Carrera modified the tooling to prevent this so we need to purchase thwe Digital version.

FYI Tried jumping out the resistor (33 ohm) in the terminal track using stock Carrera GO controllers and works at eliminating the resistance but seems to be twitchy when driving the GT Competition kit layout. Seems like no adjust ability on thumb control without that 33ohms. Could be reduced to maybe 15/20 ish and see what happens if I can figure how to open that Terminal track without damage. I used spring jumpers on the outside of the terminal housing where the resistor is visible to access the leads to jump out.

if you bypass the resistor in the terminal track, you need to RISE the controller resistor.
between 45 and 60 ohms
carrera evolution controllers work good or ninco controllers (55ohm)

Pfuetze,
You recommended the Carrera Evo controller, is it p/n 20709? And Ninco 55 ohm p/n NINCO 55 PLUS CONTROLLER 10310?
Thanks

Hi all
Pulled out the 33 ohm resistors and the cars are basically undriveable  with the stock Go controllers. I got the 2nd Terminal track open by prying it open carefully, not too bad with little damage 8-) but can still go back together and run but the resistor was desoldered and replaced with a short. I had trouble keeping it on the track  where a stock setup can drive almost full throttle all the way around minus the BOOST. Maybe go to a 22 ohm or 11 ohm may be more driveable  . It seemed almost choppy with the stock controller and no resistor, not much fun.

Stupid question
What is a DS Basic-2 controller?

resistor controller made by DS
DS also produces tuming systems.

Hi all
If I purchase two of the Evolution controllers, they come with a 3 pin connector. How does the wiring differ from stock Carrera GO Controllers?
I assume 1 is Power In from track, 2 is power back to track, what is pin 3?

pin 3 is for braking

Does that pin then go to the TURBO connection from the previous controller?
