most of the weight difference is coming from the motor i think, plus a small part from the body.
the Kyosho are excellent, also regarding weight.
But the DSlot motor has significant more weight than the Box motor.
The Mini has an inlet with a driver figure, the 962 comes with smoked windows and nearly no space for the driver figure due to the motor. Even if the PDKD motorpod chassis places the stock motor further behind, still not really enough space there.

I suppose the one with the "race" rpm ?

I have still two or three of those lying around here - they had a somewhat strange name, if I remember correct.
I will never use them because I have exclusively switched to N-20 motors.
Ah yes, four or five of the "GO!/SCX" - sized so - called race motors and some of the Rs ones I will keep.
I have been building race motors since 1975 - rewinding, rebalancing, securing the winds, turning the comm ( the above mentioned ones get special race coms ), adjusting the airgap and the brushes and so on.
Meanwhile I am doing it now and then just for fun yet, because it is nice to see how the performance of a motor improves, especially without endless turning up the track voltage knob and lower and strengthen the traction mags.

These square motors have a good torque / rpm ratio.

Roland, i'm sorry to say, i do not know.
got the link from Lloyd and it only said motor. it seems to have an aluminium frame instead of the stock steel frame.
but it has way less rpm than the Fyrebox motor. but a little more than the SH130A. maybe around 23 to 25 krpm @ 12V.

Okay, Peter. I am always curious regarding motors.
Surprisingly two years ago there was a wide variety of Motors, "race" Motors and whatever around (remember the RS - sale ? ), and suddenly you don´t hear anything anymore. Made me curious...
Well, done and dusted.

Good luck !
