Twinkies may last forever, but the same can’t be said for the company that makes the cream-filled sponge cake. Hostess Brands Inc., the company that makes Twinkies and Wonder Bread, has asked a judge for permission to go out of business and lay off 18,500. this is sad is day for all us old Hippies OL Mike

very Bad news for the Route guys.Couldn't have come at a worst time..
I know several of these guys ,as I am a route guy too,and just really hate it for them..

The big hit is the union pension plans established long ago, and of course still in place. The amounts involved for each employee aren't large at all, but together, that's billions of dollars, and for the hundreds of thousands of past employees who participated, a lifeline that is about to be cut.

That insane wailing noise is Tallahassee hearing the news that Hostess is filing for bankruptcy.

The sad part is the company was asking for an 8% wage drop and the workers said no, shame they could not get togeather

Yes if only the workers got a pay cut that would be unfair, the news made it sound like it was across the board,I should have known
