Mini JCW Pickup

The Mini JCW Pickup is finished!

body is made from 2 Go! minis, rear wheel wells moved to the front by 5mm, fender flares front and rear.
roll cage made from PS round material, windows vac-formed, inlay vac-formed.
Chassis from PS sheet material. printed wheels, tires CarGo customs.

motor Mabuchi SH030A, 8/20 gearing, homemade decals.
wheelbase 71mm

That turned out well. Nice scratchbuild.

Care to tell us a bit more about the decals you did. Were this applied inside the lexan shell or on the outside?

the shell is not lexan, it´s styrene (or whatever the carrera bodies are made of).
decals are printed on waterslide decal paper using a canon inkjet printer at home. decal paper gets one layer of clear coat to secure the print. works quite well. backdrop is that you need to cut out the decals very carefull, as i cannot print white at home. you can choose between white decal paper or clear decal paper. clear decal paper missing all white spots, if you print the decal. you need an ALPS printer to print white i learned quite some time ago.

Well done. The only reason I have to think that you made that from the pictures is because I haven't seen company's make such strange concepts. Love it.

That looks amazing Peter!
Even though it wasn't the stretch Mini limousine that I first guessed, maybe next?
Paint is really nice and that roof came out fine in the end.
Chassis looks great too.
