One car suffered damage - the #7 car has a broken guide adaptor. Shall I attempt to repair this or do I need to send it back to the owner?

Thanks for running this Round for us, Dennis. Hopefully your crew had a good time racing them at PMCC.

As far as the #7 car is concerned, the builder may have saved all of his best guide adapters for his upcoming 2019 Group 5 NA car; even though he would have had to start doing that almost a year ago - :lol: If it can be fixed at PMCC, then I would say go ahead and do it; it's certainly allowed under the rules of this proxy. If Chris would rather have it sent back to him for repairs, then that's fine, too.

Looking forward to seeing the results. Porsche at the pointy end again...………..?

OK, with Round 10 in the books and a great time had by all who ran these cars, here are the overall results:

Congratulations to the podiumites, and to everyone who entered a car. 39 cars is a major number to have to deal with in any one proxy.

Some general comments:

The #23g Porsche was effectively on its "home track" as this is where it was built and tested, so no real surprise to see it at the top of the tree. However the 2nd and 3rd cars were closer than expected and there were some really tight battles all the way down the order.

Rubber tires had the advantage on this track, and as the day wore on and the grip came up this was more and more evident. Personally, I think that Proxy Organizers should carefully consider limiting races to a single tire type in future, be it rubber, urethane or silicone.

The cars using air system wheels seemed to have a small advantage on this track, perhaps it's the little extra grip, perhaps it's the slight increase in diameter at top speed.

Some cars with taped pods could have benefited from more tape than they had, as they still exhibited some chatter.

Some cars definitely needed deeper guides and better guide mounts to reduce play in the guide pivot. My track has a downhill turn that very quickly shows up insufficient guide depth in the slot.

As stated earlier, there was very little damage all day, just the #7 car with the broken guide adaptor. One other car had a seize-up on track, that was traced to the body coming loose and jamming the tires, but that was corrected quicly and easily under a track call, so no real disadvantage accrued. This was car #32 as i recall, the HRS-2 body pegs came out of their sockets, so it was easy to relocate and continue.

Thanks to all the drivers and especially to my builder Dennis. The car is proving to be a consistent top finisher. Always nice to get a win. Hats off to the others on the podium. Well done! Apparently we're a tough act to follow.

Dave, you still have the grippiest rubber tires I've ever seen and they're holding up very well after being on a lot of tracks all around the world; great job on the rears!

Looks like that #23R Porsche will be a hard car to beat with only two races left to go...……….

Thanks Dennis and team for running this round. Big job to get thru 39 cars, hope you enjoyed them. Congrads to the podium place-getters. I'm happy with 4th and 7th especially among this esteemed group of builders. This track is very similar in layout to the track these cars were setup and tested on, especially that dropped gradient hair pin - very familiar corner that tests all cars!
