Ford-Porsche Wars - Round #3 - River Hills Raceway

The cars have arrived at the track and are beginning to move into the paddock! The third round of this proxy is going to be interesting. Our matt latex track race surface can be challenging to get grip in the tighter corners.

The plan is to qualify the cars Monday night and have the race results posted by next Saturday. At this time we're planning to only run two lanes at a time. (Unless we can find a third driver)

This is going to be fun.

Reminds me of a track that was in the basement of a bowling alley when I lived in Chicago. Very nice, technical low grip

The rock wall was a thoughtful touch - it looks so real. it also looks like a fun track to drive. And very scenic. Nothing like a fast drive through the country on a sunny day. The smell of the pines, the wind whipping by the car as it accelerates through the gears quickly going from ridiculous right on up to a howling ludicrous speed straining for every inch of performance.

May the power of Porsche compel you.

39. #1 / studioRS / Porsche - 8.97 - Punchy, not smooth, chatter in the corners, shutters at full power, lots of wheel spin

I want to thank Harry (hksk25) for coming over and racing the cars while I prepped the cars, typed his comments and recorded the times. I also want to thank all the racers for single handly making me want to get rid of all my cars and starting over... :D These cars smashed our track record over and over again.

Thanks for the information and your crew that helped in running the qualifying round. I see my #6 Ford cracked into the mid 2/3s of the field. Hopefully it can do that in the race. The #9 Porsche is the leading Porsche in qualifying. Hopefully it can lead the way to the checked flag.

Thanks for qualifying the cars on that such a cool track guys.

Wow, from 1st in race 1 to 3/4 down the pack is a huge disappointment.

Seems like the tires may be contaminated.

Would it be possible to give the tires a good clean with something that will wash them, eg- lighter fluid and let them dry before running if the rules allow this.

And down the list I go, to be honest I have been a little surprised at my mid pack finishes. Thank you for taking the time to host a round.

That track is gorgeous, very nicely done and detailed. Looking forward to pictures of the cars on the track.
