Here we go! Round #2 in what started last year as a proxy duel between both builders and marques.

Allan, need to change the title to say "daily" :P

And for those of you that haven't ever experienced a 1967 Porsche 2.0 liter 200hp flat-six on the limit with mechanical fuel injection (read my post — 1969 911E 2.0 140hp is similar sounding with mechanical injection). Here is pretty much what they sound like in a Porsche 910 at Le Mans classic with megaphones :handgestures-thumbup: Truly a sound and experience that only gets better with more revs.

Cheers, Thompson

Love it! From the very first time I saw and, more importantly, HEARD, one in the sixties, it has always been one of my favourite favourites. Punched WAY above its weight and always good for an upset against the heavyweights.

Never seen one in green before: looks fantastic.

Another day - another car.......This one the rare Porsche 909 Bergspyder; originally designed as a hillclimb car. You can clearly see the lead-in to the 908/3:

This car is eligible for this series, too. All you need are some modeling skills and a good chassis..........

Well, Clive, no one knows if Porsche will de-thrown Ford this year; I suspect it will be very close; even though we have a good number of Porsches in this year's field.

One way to be certain would be to enter a second car in this year's race................Hint, hint............!! You have 6 months left to the deadline, so it could be doable; time-wise, and you're headed into your Winter season anyway...............

Here's a deal for you.............I'll purchase the block of wood for you if you'll turn your considerable building skills towards a Porsche 909 Bergspyder. :banana-dance: :banana-dance: :banana-dance:

I ask you, where else are you going to find a deal like that...........?!

Here's someone who modeled it off a 908 Flunder: food for thought.................

Thanx Allan....you have a lot of confidence in me.... :text-thankyouyellow:

a second car....I don't know...I feel one is good.
I will on the other hand make a 909 Bergspyder after the Ghia is finished (+-95% done with the Ghia). :music-rockout: :music-rockout:
research must start ASAP....the regular site which I use to get the blue prints from does not have the 909...only before and after. I'll have to look some more. Once we compare the 908/3 and the 909 blue prints, we will know if the body was the same dimensions...like the info you gave above. I personally do not like sacrificing one car to build another...rather fix the one and build a new one..just my feeling.

thanx Clive

Interesting seeing a "bundle of snakes" exhaust manifold sitting on the floor under the shelves.
Wonder what it's worth.
