What is the best way to mount a body to a chassis ?? I'm new to customizing and have several car bodies but don't know how to mount them to my chassis for racing! All ideas will be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Here's some stuff I make in resin to solve most mounting problems. I used to buy Plastruct ready made pieces and glue them together to make mounts, but this is a lot easier. I've also used small pieces of basswood from the hobby shop(Hobby Lobby). The one piece mounts I made to fit 1/24 hard bodies. I fasten to chassis, arrange it where I want it inside the body, add a little super glue. Re move the chassis and epoxy for a permanent bond. It all requires fitting and epoxy to really hold it.

Unless you are building a shelf queen your car will run better if there is a little body float, so you might keep that in mind when you choose a mounting system.

Rich has hit on one of the main keys to a good handling car. I usually drill mount holes in the frame that are the same size as the screws. Using the frame as a template, I drill my holes in the body mount posts or blanks. Then I remove the frame and drill the mount holes over size. This usally lets the screws be just loose enough for the body to move around a little. Sometimes ithelps to grind the threads off the screws at the head.
