What an iconic car. If you are going to be popping resin shells, put me down for one.
I look forward to your progress.
Cheers

You got my attention also. I started one about a year ago and ran into a few detailing problems and honeydo projects getting in the way.
Its since cracked from the dry air and grinding on the excess plastic off.

If someone can come up with a decent resin cast I'm interested. I've been looking. A Notchback would be cool too.

JeepersCreepers! BARC has set the bar very very high...I will do my best to get to that level ... one day.
To answer the question of "good luck finding a body"....keep watching this space, there is a way!
Cheers

Grew up in a Porsche/Volkswagen family. Karmann Ghia's are awesome. What an easy on the eyes body.

Yes they can be turned into are a fantasitc looking showcar.
The Welly model claims to be 1/33 scale, and I checked it out against the prototype length, and the model length's checks out. This would be close enough for my needs. I may get one of these and make a mold.
This is a great subject CARacing. You really got me wanting one too.
Really looking forward to your build.
Cheers

Dan,
I will support a Welley donor if you will pop the bodies. My Porsche 550s come off a Maisto diecast so I know the process but don't currently have the materials in inventory.
PM me if you are wanting to go ahead. A good Karmann Ghia would be very cool.

:text-threadjacked: I already have one on the way. SO I am going to go ahead and pop some resin ones off of it.
Once completed I will post a thread on it
With that I will let CARacing get back to his build . Sorry, but the subject car is very captivating
Cheers
Dan
