Share your build process step by step

Open to ALL SCALES!

1. Pictures of your starting materials. Choice of body, Chassis type and material (brass, plastic etc.)
2. Pictures of the tools you will be using, and any alternative ways to do the same thing. for example, tubing bender versus bent around a screwdriver handle. etc.
3. List where parts come from, or where they can be purchased from, or if they are homemade.
4. As many pictures of the build during the whole process as you can.

Nothing wrong with your PVC type chassis, but I'm keen to see your handy work in brass !!!!!!!!!!

That body turned out very nice. I am most impressed with what you have done from a block of wood.

Where are you getting your PVC material from?

The PVC is old menu panels from the take away restaurant within our outlet. Most advertising companies here use pvc sheets and stick vinyl on top for advertising boards. Local is lekker!

I will attach a pic.

It is South Africa. The medium chips is R19.25 which equates to $1.47.

Hallo everyone!

It has been two weeks of stock taking, month-end and lots of stufff....very little time to work on the Ghia, but here is a pic of the chassis and the body as it is now.
Chassis is rolling and it only needs a paint job to be completed. The body is 90% finished with only a couple of small fixes and then off to the paint bay.

and we are finished with the body....now off to the paint booth. White top and red bottom...should look good.

Some more work done over the past weekend...wish weekends were longer!! Hahah
Painting the body was in two parts, top colour is off-white and bottom we wanted candy apple red...I think we got it spot on...
