It was fun but challenging to get through 45 cars in a reasonable amount of time without marshals. Alwyn's excellent organisation of the process was a huge benefit. As usual, I found it interesting to drive the different cars but wish I had more time to study the good cars to figure out what makes them good. The best cars were a delight to drive. Any car that can go under 7 s on Luf's track is very good. Only two or three of our club members have a car that can go under 7s. Alwyn has about 50 I think.

As we were running at 12.0 v, power was generally not a limiting factor on this track in spite of the fairly long straight. I would say lack of grip was also generally not a limiting factor, as the vast majority of de-slots were due to tipping, especially for the U2 cars. I find it interesting to see the dominance of the O2 cars.

With that field of cars proper organization is a key. That was a reason why we grouped cars to two separate events.

I wish I had more time when I visited you guys to get some more laps on Luf's track. As clubs track is moving to new location I will be starting my own build and Luf's track got me some ideas.

Thx again for great hosting.

Extent video really like the slow mo usage. can see how they track and up close too :text-coolphotos: Good view of the little snow ball roll  Also dose the elevation changes slow the cars down much when they go up the hills?

Great video and thanks for all the work. 45 cars is a lot. The BARC # 97 Porsche sure is off the pace. That little can hasn't got a hope. I will be not be using one of those again. The Number 20 Camaro is smack in the middle of the field so all of this info and results shows what a guy needs to shoot for.

Are you guys going to be doing your Targa proxy this year?

Too soon :D
Cheers

Excellent video Luf, like always great to watch. Slow motion on different camera angles really helps to understand areas of improvement. Thanks again :text-thankyouyellow: :text-bravo:

Thanks for running this round of the proxy. with only 3 people I can see that it takes a lot to do all the cars. Love the video, the slow motion was so much fun. Watching the cars as they go thought the turns, show just what they are doing. Looks like the #82 was once again in the 30's. If I could only get about 3 days with it. There always next year. Thanks again.

Well my speed and handling indexes for the Camaro, Challenger and Cuda look good. Just need to get some more speed out of all of them to crack into that coveted top five positions. Cracked the top 10 in 02 class with the Camaro. The Challenger was not far behind in 11th. More speed more speed. Could still be weight placement however. With overall indexes of 97% and 96% not far off the top 5. I'm coming guys. Got to find .5 somewhere.

IMP-ressive.... Just when I thought I had a chance to take it to the IMP - It all goes south and the team car gets by me too!!
:laughing-rolling:

Good run - congrats to everyone!

After looking at SuperSlab's numbers behind the numbers, I'd have to agree the RR44 IMP is pretty IMPressive. I'm also surprised at just how similar the the 2 Changing Gears BMW 2002s run considering the different motor choices. I feel the Baby King may be a better choice going forward. SuperSlab, again thanks for the numbers and Luf for the video as I think it may improve many cars going forward.

A little late to the party, but congrats to the podium cars in both classes and, particularly to Radarek for leading the way to the top in the O2 class! :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:

Big shout out to Randy (Dodgefarmer) as he has what I believe is the higest overall ranked resin body car sitting currently in 10th place and the highest ranked brass chassis car. Great job you have been very consistent !

Thanks for all the nice comments

Eightwheels...the hills don't seem to affect the cars, they're mostly for looks

Barc1...we're looking to move soon, so I don't want to commit to any proxies right now

Arroldn...YouTube chooses the thumbnail for the video...but I probably woulda picked the same one

The cars are on their way to California
