Allan I will drop by after lunch so I can pack the cars as they finish, watch them run and drop them off at the next host track if that is OK.

Hi Austin, That would be fine. I think that with 44 cars, we'll still be running them well past lunch time. Are you the next host (Riverside 1966), or do they go to Dickie first?

Just got the timing set up for the two lanes so my track is ready if Dickie isn't.

Even have the hillside built in with the S turns on top, I will need to post a photo.

You can run them first. It'll give me a chance to get the guys lined up for the next race after :D

The cars are all loaded into the racing database, all we have to do is wait for the race to begin around 10:00AM tomorrow...........

Well, after a long, fun day of racing, here are the results of Round #2 at The River Run.

Drivers for today were Matt (changing.gearz), Josh (manchvegasracer) and Bob (slotcarcorner). The race was run at 10 V, each heat was 3 minutes in length, the drivers stayed in their lanes throughout the entire race and the cars cycled onto the grid in reverse qualification order. Lap times, for all cars, were somewhere between the mid-8's and the low-6's; so quite a spread in performance on this track. Results were based on total distance traveled during all heats; both total laps and the final lap segment in 1/10's of a lap.

When the smoke cleared, it was steeveew on top with his #6 O class car; a very easy car to drive fast! :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:

The cars are now with Austin; he came down to the track towards the end of the race, we packed up the cars and he took them with him for Round #3. So, stay tuned for that one.

The cars were all a blast to drive; a lot of smiles, laughs, hoots and good times were had today. It's hard to beat a good TransAm proxy!

Hi Darius, We started at around 10:00AM and we finished up just in front of 4:00PM. Long day of racing, for sure!

We use track calls for offs, since an off that is distant from a marshal puts the offed car at a disadvantage relative to offs with other cars that occur close to a marshal. As a result, each heat takes longer than a straight 3 minutes. But, for my track, it gives a more accurate result.

45 cars is a lot of cars to run in a single proxy. We ran the first half, had lunch brought in and then went on to finish up the second half.

PS - it doesn't get much closer than what you see in the battle for second place in O class........... Good racing!

Thanks Allan and your crew for running this round. Man are these cars quick or what? 8 laps more than in 2016. Way to go Steve. My top cars are running mid pack and also faster than last year. While not a 5th place it is a good finish for both the #77 and my #6. Top 10 among the O class for the #77. Lets keep moving towards the front.

Congratulations to our podium finishers. Look at Ray up there in the top 5. Close racing at the top. Got to climb my way up. Thanks for the quick report.
