Long day at the River Run, but I'm sure it was a great time. Looks like it's going to be a long season for Tiny Alice Racing, but I'm told our drivers have the best seat in the house... viewing all those beautiful cars rolling by! Next year the crew chief will be putting a more conventional car under Alice and get her moving up the list. Of course that's what he said last year.. A tough field for 2017...and I suspect it ain't just luck that has those boys on top. Thanks to the New England racers who worked this leg and the next as well...

But nothing ballistic and no damage done to any of the cars. The #89 had a rear wheel come off. We glued it back on with CA and it set up during lunch....... Seemed fine after that.

Was a fun day of racing. Always a good time when there's free pizza to eat! And what a great field of cars - Loads of craftsmanship there that I'm just envious of. I couldn't carve a spike out of a stick - forget about a Camaro out of a block of wood - that's so wild!

It's very cool to see all the cars with 3D chassis (especially the CG ones!) + an overall win out of 45 entries! Its always neat to see what people do with the end product. I had no idea so many people went 3D! A big thank you to everyone running one of ours!

My late entry #53 didn't get practice laps and suffered from a little tire rub - but got faster with more laps. Hopefully it gets some good running and breaks in a bit more. Not bad for finishing the car 12 hours before the race! It's got a top secret chassis under it so hopefully runs a bit stronger in the U category :-)

Congrats to everyone - and long live the memory of RR44!

Race day performance was in line with qualifying, both a far cry from round 1. Hopefully the Mustang can battle back as the proxy continues!

Thanks for gluing the wheel back on the #89. It didn't finish to bad for that under powered 42B motor. I know with 42 cars giving driving impressions would be quite a chore. Just glad to see my cars improve over last year at both tracks so far. Now to get more competitive with those A class builders. "You know who you are."

Actually, although there were some significant differences between the results of Round #1 and Round #2, there was also a lot of consistency between the performances of many of the O class cars; particularly with regards to the top 10. Six of the top 10 in Round #1 were also in the top 10 in Round #2: #6 (steeveew), #27, #9, #22, #15 (tomcoulas) and #45.

We'll see what Round #3 brings; I think it's going to be run on a Scaley Sports track, but I could be mistaken. Austin will supply the details. If it is Scaley Sport, then expect the open can FC-130 motors and, particularly, any long can FC-180 motors to do well due to the effect of magnetic downforce on the steel rails. We saw this earlier last year with the first two round of the Race Across America. It's real and it's a game changer!
