Just a quick note to let you know that a very large box was delivered today to my track in Merrimac, MA. Looks intact, although I could hear some cars rattling around inside when Iifted it off the door step. Will have a peak inside this weekend.

We'll get this Round run and in the book within 2-3 weeks time; hopefully on the shorter side. We'll run a quali first and then use the results of that to determine the running order for the race. We will run both classes at the same time; just like they did in the old CanAm series.

I will be shipping my Challenger to you next week. Tuesday. Maybe tomorrow since the post is closed on Monday. Repairs have been made.

As you mentioned some rattling coming from the box , is there anything bad with cars?

Without seeing the box it is probably due to a few of the cars packages, but everything was secured when it left.

Just a quick update - it's looking like the race will be on Sunday, March 5th, starting around 10:00AM. The quali will take place either later this week or later the following week as I'll be out of the country on business from this coming Sunday-Wednesday. The cars will enter the race in reverse quali order. I'll do my best to run the quali this week.

Hi Clive, No, no cars were damaged. David did a nice job of packing them all in the boxes that they had originally been shipped in. The sound that I referred to was just a little movement of the individual boxes inside the big shipping box. They're all good; except for Dariusz's Camaro, which seems to have undergone a new paint job in transit.........looks like a brand new car! :o Hope it still runs well...........I saw some fresh paint build-up on the rear wheel wells......................we'll see............... ;) :lol:

The Challenger is on the way.
Your item departed our NASHVILLE, TN 37227 origin facility on February 22, 2017 at 3:41 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

Your item was delivered in or at the mailbox at 11:35 am on February 23, 2017 in MERRIMAC, MA 01860.

We ran the qualification for Round #2 today.

It was run at 10V and each car got10 laps to get the braids adjusted, controller dialed in and driver used to the car. Then we ran an additional 10 laps for fastest lap, which determined the quali order. The order of quali runs was random and all cars were qualified in the middle (white) lane. The track was vacuumed and tack clothed before the start of the runs. All cars had their tires swiped before the 10 lap practice session and, again, before their 10 lap quali session.

Some very close Q times recorded today. In general, cars that were in the 7.1 to sub-7 second range should race very well on this track.

The race will be held on March 5th, starting around 10:00EST. The order of entry into the race will be in reverse quali order; slower to faster.

BARC Racing Headquarters

The results today are not surprising. This car was never going to do well in qualifying. The #97 BARC Porsche should be stable and predictable to drive for the race drivers. We are hoping this fact moves it up in the finishing order for the race. The little U2 motor is way off the pace, but we are encouraged and hope to gain a couple of positions during the race with a good clean run.

Well done in qualifying and good luck to all in the field, for a safe, event free race.

Thanks for the run Allan. Looks like you had your hands full. Looks like there will be quite the show when you return.

I hope having my two cars in the back row (Heartland Hauling Camaro and the only Cougar in the pack) in the pictures is not going to be an indication where I will be finishing!!! LOL. Good luck to all the drivers and have fun racing.
