Hallo to All,
CARacing has finished the 1970 Pontiac firebird, based on the nr8 Jerry Titus car. and here is my story:
I started with blueprints from the net and made a buck from wood. Silicon mold was made and resin body was slosh cast.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

lots of hand crafting, sanding, filing and smoothing the body.ImageImageImageImage
Base coat was applied by airbrush and the interior was made from clay, which was resin coated and painted. The roll cage was made from the insulation of electrical wire - copper removed and painted.

Cheers

Windows were cut from clear plastic sheet. Decals were done by my very own Graphic Designer (my Brother) and came out super!! Thanx Gavin!!!!! The original driver was fired....bad driving...and replaced with a new more appropriate driver. The driver and dash were sculpted from prestik, frozen and then created silicone mold...resin cast and hand painted.ImageImageImageImageImage Lots of work, but satisfying!

Chassis built from pvc sheet (1mm), running gear, axles and wheels were all vintage (1964 date on packaging) All new/old stock. The final adjustments, lubes, etc were done and she was posted off to David.

This was a very satisfying and rewarding hobby for me. To see the end product is awesome...not perfect, but awesome!!!
