Probably the slowest part of getting a body ready for your mold box is the process of filling it with clay and sculpting the recess around the body and the wheel openings. I used to roll the clay around in my hands to make it more pliable. Recently I checked online and they said heat made clay softer. I used the hair dryer to soften it some before I went to work that time. This morning, I put the baggie with the clay in it ( I use it over and over) in a bowl of hot tap water. An hour or so later I went and went and got it and it was soft and really easy to use. Hope this helps.

Yes, I use his method as well. Clay in a baggie immersed in Hot water will soften the clay making it simple to fill voids and shape.
