Thanks Bob. Now - back to the wallpapering!

Congrats to the podiumites, Redlyner, Chris, and i believe our old friend Retro had 3rd place. These truly were amazing cars , the builds very intriguing and great detail on the bodies too. There really wasnt a bad car amongst them except for my bucket of bolts as far as looks goes. Vals was a treat to run, the body rocked and rolled just like a Chase Car bit handled very well once you got past the fright of seeing the roll it had lol?
As you know this track has a big long straight and some cars were fully out at 8 feet while others were using 18 feet to peak out going into the big sweeper. But what do you do with so many different tracks. Some lacked a bit of motor , others lacked grip and looked like ice racers but without the spikes.
I did learn that one fast lap dosent ,mean a thing in qually or even the race. Hpwever those that were consistent really shone. Old Shotgun has to get over the VW thing or lose some top weight , but what a beautiful build. I really did enjoy this and learned a lot from running the cars. Nothing is too small to pass by, especially gluing the tires on. Pics tomorrow lads.

Lads, Allan and i are going to split the cars up at this point.
I will send non Canadian cars back to him for mailing home, and i will mail the Canadian cars back.
If there are any addresses where particular cars or the same club cars can be sent that would cut shipping costs.
Let us both know. If you want them all sent back to Allan then i can do that also.

Sounds like a good way to handle it Chappy. No sense in the cars crossing the boarder twice.

Thats what we were thinking too.
Being the ladt race in the series it didnt make a lot of sense to return south. Im just not sure what the cars were initially shipped to Allan in yet.

Just wanted to say that it was great seeing a Retro Racer 44 (Keith Hines) car on the podium for the last race in this proxy series. I think that these are the last Retro Racer 44 proxy cars still participating in a racing series, so they're very special cars, as he was a very special person and slot car enthusiast. I miss his contagious enthusiasm and "can do" outlook on everything. A year+ after his untimely passing and his cars are still making racing headlines! :text-bravo: :text-bravo: :text-bravo:

Couldnt agree more Allan, i was asking him to help keep it in the slot as i did the race. Funny the things you do but he was a great guy and desrrved so much more.

Ditto Audi and Chappy. It was awesome to see Keith’s cars doing so well.
His enthusiasm for building and racing is what got me submitting cars to proxy’s.
