Congrats to Val (glasshorsevh), Dave (shotgundave) and Marty (jcis4me) for their top concourse podium finishes! :text-bravo: A Detroit car makes it to the top!

Congrats also, to Dave (DRW21), Keith (retroracer44), whose racing spirit continues with us in this proxy, and Richard (slotting since 1963) on their race wins! :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:

Just a note of mention: Keith's 3 cars; 44a, 44b and 45 were 3 out of the top 5 cars in this race. I know that he took special pains to prep these cars for this series and these results certainly highlight his skill as a builder. Well done, retroracer44! :clap: :clap: :clap:

I was pleased to see that the narrow-track duo; #152 and #157 squeeked into the top 10 in this race...............

Great reporting, as always, Gavin - thanks! The new 1953 looks like a great track to run on!

Well done Gentelmen thank you for the run and congratulations to the podium builders. And yes RR44 incredible cars, I know he's looking down on the results and smiling. #63 is wining the battle of consistency. Looking at the numbers I sure wish this one was on video to see just how close the racing truly was.

Wow, didn't expect that.
When you look at the times and laps, the racing must have been so close and that is where the fun is.
I bet the drivers had a ball.
Thanks to the hosts, drivers and marshals and everyone that has helped with this whole proxy - a very well run and truely international event and I'm sure we are all grateful to be involved.
Can't wait till the cars get down under for some rounds, it gonna be a long haul till its over with big smiles on many faces.

Had our inaugural Fun race meeting at the relocated ,revamped and braided Rhino River Raceway !!!!!!
Track was rubber-ed in and timing system tested.The rusting PanAm cars were brought out for some parade laps and a photo shoot.
The race is scheduled to take place on Monday evening.
They are mighty pretty and a lot of FUN ..........

The race at Rhino River was run last Thursday. I could not post the results due to Gremlins in the pc.

Got the pc fixed and managed to get the race results done.

We did not do a Qualy but used the Qualies from 1953 as benchmark. The race was a 2 minute Round Robin race.
Positions was determined by Total laps raced and fastest average lap times.

The Porsches had tough time against the Corvettes.

Gavin, thanks for the run! Those Vettes just won't go backwards. I'm starting to think engines have been replaced with aluminum block 427s as the little Porsche cars cant get away. Great job SS1963 and Redlynr! I still look forward to all the pics of the incredible builds and the modeling of cars in this proxy.
