These cars were a lot of fun to run today on Jeff's new Ironwood track!

Once again, Tony's (brumos RSR) car just about drove itself and set the pace for the others. Richard's (slotting since 1963) Corvette was a definite contender and had the fastest Q-time. Steve's (redlynr) Corvette also r :handgestures-thumbup: an very well and smoothly. Great to see Keith's (retroracer44) red Lancia D24 and Ferrari Monza 750 on the top of the second podium along with Paul Slacker's beautifully detailed XK-140 Jag from NZ.

Bob took some additional pics that might post after the Patriots game, or tomorrow.

My last drive of the day was Shotgundave's VW bug - what's a blast to drive! In a straight line, it doesn't give up anything to the other cars, in the corners, the copious amount of beer aboard the car makes it a little more tender in the turns...................you can hear a distinct "slosh" on the left and right handers...........! :lol:

Forgot to mention, Richard's Corvetts set a new, official track record at Ironwood; 4.982 seconds! Congrats on that one!! :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:

Thanks for running guys .Some great pics !!!! Very happy with second . Allan once again , thanks for your fine tuning. I think we will have to ditch the passenger to save some weight for better lap times.

Very nice guys, and again... what a beautiful track! Glad to see the "Dallas Alice" car wasn't in a crash pictures. I was experimenting with PSR rubber tires on her and was wondering how they fared on a wooden track? They were definitely better than urethanes on plastic for that car...

And to all the builders as I've never seen such great detail on proxy cars before, I need to step up my detailing skills. Thanks for letting me host a round. It was a honor to run all your cars here and especially RetroRacer44 cars. Great fun. A thanks goes out to the driver's Allan, Bob, and Matt! And a extra thanks to Allan on helping me getting it organized and set up. And a interesting fact, Matt ran the whole race sitting in a rocking chair! :lol:

Thanks guys for the run. I hope my old Vette runs well, Due to the variety of drivers I opted for smoothness rather than shear speed. I enjoyed driving it, I hope you all do too.
